New laser technology now available at Andreoletti & Stein – April 2, 2008 Waterlase® Dentistry uses a patented technology combining YSGG laser energy and a spray of water, a process called HydroPhotonics™, to perform a wide range of dental procedures on teeth, gum and bone more comfortably. With this technology, we can use fewer shots and less anesthesia, reducing patient anxiety and providing a more relaxing dental experience. Laser therapy, mixed with our normal modalities, provides increased healing response and much more predictable results. All of our lasers can be set to kill bacteria only or do periodontal surgeries. Waterlase® is a versatile tool that allows us to cut teeth, bone and gum tissue with less trauma and do procedures that can’t be done with traditional tools such as the drill and scalpel. With a simple exam, Drs. Andreoletti & Stein can determine what type of treatment is appropriate for your needs. With the advance of laser technology, additional training is required, and the Andreoletti & Stein staff has received education in the use of these new tools.
